He was a veteran politician who fought against the TPLF and fought until the TPLF left the palace.
He was succeeded by his father, Sultan Alimira, in 2004 as a spiritual and cultural leader of Afar, who served the community until his death. Sultan Hanfar left behind two sons and five daughters on earth and passed away today at the age of 71. May Allah grant them Paradise. I wish comfort to his family and the people of Afar. By the will of Allah, I will present to you a book of testimonies that I took from his mouth at another time, quoting the testimonies of his comrades and friends. Once again, I wished the Sultan paradise and comfort for his family and our people.
